Philosophy courses for Knox students

The Department of Philosophy has entered into an agreement with Knox Grammar School to offer two university courses to its students next year. The advanced university placement courses, endorsed by the Board of Studies, will be Critical Thinking, and Philosophy, Morality and Society. They were chosen by the school because they provide students with an opportunity to research, discuss and develop their essay writing and critical thinking skills, and Philosophy also enables students to explore complex issues such as morality and happiness and develop skills to understand them.

Ethics Application Deadline

Anyone from SCMP planning to submit an ethics application in the July round must get their ethics application to me by next Friday's deadline (July 1). I will NOT be accepting any late applications in July as I will be away doing fieldwork. If you want feedback on your application before it is formally submitted to the research office you will need to get your application to me by next Wednesday (June 29).

Please also bear in mind that supervisors need to go through ethics applications with their research students BEFORE the students submit their applications to me for feedback. I will no longer look at applications that have not first been vetted by the supervisor.
