SCMP News: January 2006

The Media Department has been named as an institutional partner for the 15th Biennale of Sydney, to be held 8 June-27 August 2006.

The Media Department has won the right to co-host the major theory conference of the 15th Biennale. Held over three days - July 7-9 2006 - this conference will have the title "Rethinking Art History and Theory".

Held in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, the conference will feature 7 leading international art scholars and theorists as well as personnel from the Media Department and the Division of SCMP. This partnership will also entail a number of seminars and workshops to be held at Macquarie, involving several of the speakers participating in the conference.
